End of Summer

Our summer-team season is now over. Actually, it was over about 2 weeks ago, but I haven't blogged about it. The last church that came to serve in La Fe was Peace Presbyterian Church from Cary, NC. This summer was our first summer of hosting short term teams and it went great. I am sure we messed some things up, but we have learned a lot. We feel that this summer was very beneficial to our ministry in La Fe and will help to grow it over the long term. Through the construction projects and medical clinics we were able to meet and get to know more people in La Fe than we probably would have otherwise. Thanks be to God for this!

We did not get the chance to really get to know many of the people we met this summer due to our very busy schedule. So, that is part of what we will be doing in the coming weeks and months. We have now been serving in La Fe for almost 8 months and want to 'dig deeper' with the people. Both Ashley and I are setting up one-on-one meetings with people so we can get to know them better and learn more about what the Lord is doing in their lives.
